Özgür Yilmaz is a professor of Mathematics at the University of British Columbia and the director of the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences. He obtained his PhD from Princeton University (2001). His research focuses on several areas in applied and computational harmonic analysis, information theory, and mathematical signal processing.
